When I was in first grade and Carl was in third, I knew I had met the man of my dreams. He was my very first "boyfriend." It is with deep sympathy to all of Carl's family that I send my fondest wishes and prayers. Yes, we will all see Carl once again when we are called HOME. With prayers in His Name . . . Craig's Family posted a condolence
We all have special memories of our father and grandfather, moments in time that we'll never forget. Elyse remembers how he'd always say "Hi, honey" to her with that sweet smile of his and give her a big hug. Jens remembers when he went down and caught black tadpoles at the pond with Farfar, and how they worked with the oxen last summer. Beth recalls Dad first as her youth leader. He went with the youth to Snow Camp and just acted like a kid himself. He taught her to drive, and soon after became her father-in-law. What a gift! Craig remembers the many hours of working and talking together, and wishes that he had lived closer the past twenty years to do more of that. He was his best friend.
We love you always.
Love, Craig, Beth, Elyse, and Jens

Nick, my boys Alex,Richard and I extend our prayers and thoughts to Carl's entire family. Through my daughter Lynne and Ken, we could sense the greatness and love of Carl. The closeness that he shared with his family, especially throughout his painful illness must have been a peaceful blessing for him. I admired his various endeavors, especially to see how much he enjoyed his life. He is safe now, in God's loving arms and someday you will see his smiling face again.

Richmond & Joyce Marcy posted a condolence
We both have many special memories of Carl--for Rich as a classmate at school over the years and for Joyce, Carl was a wonderful cousin that almost seemed like a brother as we were growing up. We will miss him greatly. He brought joy to so many who knew him. We pray that God will comfort all those family members and friends, especially those who have shared the past difficult months with him. Carl touched so many lives
He has wonderful grown children, grandchildren, and caring siblings who have loved him dearly. Although we are far away, our thoughts and prayers are with them, especially with Marsha who has brought Carl much happiness. We love you all.
