Obituary of John J. O'Toole

John J. "Jack" Toole, Jr. 68, of Putnam, CT died Monday July 2, 2007 after a long illness, with his loving wife Jayne at his side at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester. Born in Boston, son of the late John J. and Grayce E. (Armstrong) O'Toole. He grew up in Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury, MA. He was a graduate from ST Thomas Aquinas High School and Northeastern University. Jack waterskied at Cypress Gardens, Winter Haven, FL for several years prior to enlisting in the US Air Force. After leaving the Military, he moved to New Hampshire. Jack worked for many years as a civilian employee of the US Government. He married Jayne L. (Tourtellotte) on December 19, 1986 at the Putnam Baptist Church in Putnam. They made their home Rochester, NH until 1988, when they moved to Putnam. Jack was an animal lover; he enjoyed his Newfoundland dog Bear and tuxedo cat Mitten, He enjoyed time fishing, boating, waterskiing and showing his antique classic boat. Jack was a model train enthusiast as well as an avid sports fan especially of his Boston Red Sox! He leaves his beloved wife Jayne, several cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Putnam Baptist Church, Putnam, CT.
