Obituary of Dorothy Brewster Baton Paquette
Dorothy Brewster Baton Paquette, 84 of Tremko Lane, Ashford, CT, formerly of Brooklyn, died Tuesday January 15, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of Oliver Paquette; they were married June 28, 1981. Her first husband Joseph Baton died August 11, 1979. She was born July 11, 1928 in Danielson, daughter of the late Arthur J. and Amelia (Bodo) Brewster.
She was a graduate of the Killingly High School Class of 1946. Dorothy was employed by SNET for 15 years as an operator. She also worked for the Mansfield Training School as a charge aide for 13 years. Dorothy was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson and St. Philip the Apostle Church in Ashford. She was an active member of the Ashford Senior Center for many years. Dorothy had a great love for family and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
She leaves in addition to her husband Oliver; a son Craig L. Baton of Willimantic, CT; a daughter Lauren Beaupre and her husband Galen of Ashford; a daughter-in-law Carli Baton of North Windham; five grandchildren, a niece and three nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her son Keith Allen Baton and sister Eva Peloquin Gladu.
Calling Hours will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492.
