Obituary of Henry Viens

Henry “Choo Choo” Viens, of Eastford, died peacefully at Matulaitis Nursing Home on Tuesday January 14, 2025.

Choo was born in Putnam on November 20, 1943. 

He lived in northeast Connecticut his whole life and worked as a construction laborer and a bartender. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and previously owned several classic cars. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family.

He was a fan of the New England Patriots and also liked to watch NASCAR and car auctions on TV. 

Choo was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Rita (Gagne) Viens, his Daughter Mary Rita Viens, his wife Priscilla (Spink) Viens and Sister Marie Dalton. 

He is survived by his son Daniel Viens and his wife Cristy, his son Scott Viens and his wife Tammy and his Daughter Sandy Viens, all of Florida. 

He is also survived by his Daughter Ann Tonucci (Viens) of Lisbon, CT and his Son Shawn Davis and his wife Tiffany of Southbridge, Ma. 

He also leaves numerous grand children, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. 

A celebration of Choo’s life will be held this spring.
