Obituary of Mary D. Oppert
Mary D. Oppert, 82, of Newport Road, Oneco, CT, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon L. Oppert, he died in 1992. Mary was born on August 21, 1930 in Hot Springs, AR, daughter of the late John and Delila (Kilby) Palmer.
Mary was an avid bowler and enjoyed league bowling. She loved playing cards, pitch was her favorite and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a quality control inspector at Delta Rubber and a School Bus Driver for Hampton Elementary and High Schools.
She leaves her sons Nicholas P. Carchidi and his wife Marie of Sterling, CT, Arthur Carchidi of Oneco, her grandchildren Christine Bowling, Michael Carchidi, Michelle Austin, Joseph Carchidi, Angela Nardecchia and Nicholas P. Carchidi, Jr. She was predeceased by a son John Carchidi and a daughter Patricia Ann Carchidi Burdick.
The Funeral Service Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street Danielson, CT. Burial will follow at South Cemetery Brooklyn, CT.
