Lois Brandt posted a condolence
I am so sorry for your loss. When I drove on Covell Road, I always thought of Dorothy Horton and Mrs. Chase and the many hours of pleasure they must have had working in their flower beds.We should all be so fortunate.

I remember all the good deeds that Florence did for Donald's Aunt Dorothy. I remember all the beautiful flowers Florence had around her house. Florence was such a nice person. I will always cherish the memories of her.

Bob and Janet Smith posted a condolence
We were saddened to hear of Florence's passing. We loved her dearly. Her son's devotion to her was so admirable, especially in these last years. Providence led us to Florence more than 30 years ago when we rented her small restored house on route 97 soon after we were married. We learned so much about Pomfret from Florence over the years. As we later bought a house around the corner, we would visit with her during our walks around the block. Florence always had a warm spot in her heart for our first-born son, whom she continued to refer to as "Baby Brian" years later. Our most sincere condolences to all of her family - Bob and Janet Smith
