Missy was a great friend to our daughter Margot and we loved her as a member of our family. She and Margot took a big adventure to South Bend one year to visit two teams they had in common: they both went to Syracuse and they both loved Notre Dame. They sat in the stands and watched the football game turned around and headed back to NYC the next day. We loved Missy's energy and enthusiasm, and we always felt, after spending time with the girls, out to dinner or on our trip to Martha's Vineyard, that we were all so lucky to spend time with Missy. She was always very tolerant of us Red Sox fans.
Our hearts ache with sadness. We pray for her family who she loved so much.

It's been a while since I've run into Missy. But when she would be home in Woodstock and I would run into her at the gym she always had a smile on her face and always said hello. I remember her since Woodstock Elementary school...she is one of the few that really stick out in my memory from so long ago. I remember singing with her in chorus and her playing that baritone saxophone. And of course that contagious laugh and smile.
Missy you were taken too soon from this world. You will be missed by many people. God bless your family and friends during this difficult time.

I am so saddened to hear of your loss. At the mention of Missy's name I flash back to my biology and anatomy classes in which Missy was always the cheerful face, a bright spot in that class. I can hear her laughter and the pride she took in accomplishing tasks she had previously thought impossible. My daughter Emily still talks of the camping trip we took and the great comedy Missy provided as she struggled being so out of her element.
A candle is a fitting symbol of such a bright, cheerful person who warmed so many hearts.

Dear Family,
One of my most cherished memories of Missy is from the day after Thanksgiving in the early 90s. I was shopping with Emily, Hannah. and Megan at West Farms, and around the escalator comes Missy with her arms laden with shopping bags galore. She bubbled over with the drama of her purchases and her account of an interview with a reporter, who asked passersby about their holiday shopping. We chucked over that conversation all that day. Missy could shop with such flare!
We are so sorry for your loss, and we, too, are so sad to lose her. A lighted candle is truly her spirit in our hearts. Peace be to her memory. We will laugh together again in heaven.

My wife and I remember Missy well from her days at Syracuse University. She was one of my daughter's best friends at Syracuse, sharing the same major and marching together in the Syracuse Marching Band. We only met Missy a few times (parent’s weekends and graduation), but we always appreciated her outgoing friendliness and the fact that she was such a good friend to our daughter. Later on they stayed close as my daughter also got a job and lived in NYC. They were able to give support to each other as they began their careers. Missy is missed. We pray for God’s peace to Missy and all who loved her.
