Obituary of Joseph E. Thibault

Joseph E. Thibault, 56, of Farrows Street, Putnam, died peacefully Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Denise (Charrette) Thibault; they married were September 13, 1974 in Bellingham, MA. He was born February 25, 1953 in Woonsocket, son of the late William and Hazel Thibault. He was a jet engine mechanic working for 35 years at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as a lead man. He has made his home in Putnam since 1981, moving from Blackstone, MA. Joseph was very active the last ten years with the Relay for Life. He was an avid fly fisherman, a great fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and the Boston Celtics. He always had time for his family, a gathering on the deck, time in his pool, giving home improvement advice. He enjoyed working in his yard, caring for Molly, Sadie and Stimpy and his love for his grandson. He leaves his wife Denise, a son: Jeffrey Thibault and his fiancee Sally Pease of Woodstock Valley; a daughter: Kerri Dumas of Putnam; brothers: William Thibault of Blackstone; James Thibault of Glendale, RI; sisters: Helen Thibault; Paula Byrnes; Catherine Lemay all of Blackstone; His grandson: Christopher J. Thibault; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Winifred Wolschon. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT.
