Ernie's Family,
I have so many memories of Ernie, everything from shopping at his store to watching Lucille and him square dance at our KMS Class Acts Talent Show. They were such a great couple!
I send my heartfelt sympathy to Ernie's family. May the memories of your life with him bring you peace.
God's special blessings to all of you.
With heartfelt sympathy ,

I want to share my memories of my Aunt Cil and Uncle Ernest. They are some of the best memories of my childhood. Every Summer Aunt Cil and Uncle Ernest would drive from Connecticut to Nebraske to visit. {Grandmother and Grandad Jeffryes, My family Joe and Ginnie Landrigan- Richard, Pat Me, Mike Don and Bob, Aunt Betty and Uncle George Shubert- Steve Chris and Stan, Aunt Velma and Uncle Jim Reed- Gary and Tom. Our families would gather at Grandmother and Grandad Jeffryes for dinner. We would visit until late at night. We spent most holidays birthdays and sundays getting together. The gatherings always included a fantastic meal. When Aunt Cil and Uncle Ernest came for their annual visit the meals picnics and get togethers were even more special. I was so happy to talk to Uncle Ernest recently. I was visiting mom Gennie Landrigan when he called and had a nice visit over the phone with him. I was also thrilled when I heard of the surprise visit Uncle Ernest and family made to Nebraska. Mother was so thrilled to see him. With his passing my family has gotten so much smaller. I will really miss him. Thank goodness memories last forever. Patricia Lucille {Landrigan} McCloud and family Ron Ethan and Scott

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Suzanne, Bruce, Sandra and your familes. Ernest was a good man and uncle. When I was young I remember making fun of his voice accent. Always thought he and Lucille were a great couple. Seemed like days and days we would for them when we knew they were coming to Nebr. I too remember their Nash Rambler car and the seat would lay down flat. I would think of Ernest and your families thinking we should go visit again. Your families hosted us very well. He truly was a gift from God and I am glad I knew him. May God have mercy on his soul and bless your families. Don and Charlotte Landrigan

It is with much regret I must write my sincere condolences; however, we did have a lot of great memories. One in particular was you could always get anything at Universal Food Store/Ernies. When I was on my "gourmet cooking kick" I ordered a beef tongue--not knowing the size of the thing! Chicago Dressed beef delivered it the next day; I saw this huge thing and had it returned immediately...I still continued with the "gourmet cooking", but can to this day visualize that "counter-long tongue"! Please accept our sincere sympathy

My sympathies dear folks and family. My memories go back to when Ernest and Lucille were married in the Gering Methodist Church. They were a lovely couple. Granddad Jeffries cried. I had never seen a man cry before.
I remember the trips they made to Ne. I always waited for them hoping they would stop at our home on the way to Gering. They came in a Nash Rambler. They teased Ernest about holding his arms up and being tense all the way to Ne. I will always fondly remember both Ernest and Lucille. "They" really loved me, and it showed.
May your grief be short and may God help you remember all the good times.
God bless you all.
