Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away
into the next room.
I am I,
and you are you;
whatever we were to each other,
that, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way
which you always used,
put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air
of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name ever be
the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all
that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you,
for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just around the corner.
All is well.

We remember Shirley fondly. We thank the Lord for her life and all she meant to her family and friends. She used to come to our house for Bible studies. Those were some very blessed times. I especially remember Shirley for her compassion for others and her sense of humor even in bad times. We will miss her very much. You are home now Shirley safe and happy with our Lord.

Peter,
Bev and I were so shocked to read about shirley this morning.
We have shared many experiences and have fond memories of you and Shirley.
Our sincere sympathies are with you at this sad time and I am sure the Lord has given Shirley a place of honor in his House not made with human hands.

Debbie,
You are amazing! I was so moved by your pain-felt words of love and healing dedicated to your mom. It's amazing how things happen right when they are supposed to. I remember visiting at your house & with your grandparents when I was a child & riding bicycles up & down the road with you. I have periodically kept up with how you are through Cheryl. I send blessings & love to you, your dad, Uncle Warren, Lisa & Cheryl & your children.

Debbie,
I am sorry for your loss and for all that has passed. As a little girl, I loved going over to visit when your grandparents and your family were down at Lords Point. One of my childhood memories is when I cut my foot on a clam shell in the cove behind the cottages. My mother and your mother had me up in the kitchen sink scrubbing all the sand out. Everytime I look at the scar, I think of that memory. Once I started living at Lords Point summers after college, I would go over and visit with your mom.

My Dearest Mom, I regret the wasting of the last 20 years of our lives. But God in his infinite wisdom saw an opportinity to bring our hurting hearts back together again before it was too late. I got to open my heart to you and told you that I loved you and then you told me you loved me to. It was the greatest gift you have ever bestowed upon me. You will always be with me and till I see you again, in heaven, know that your earthly daughter loves you and looks forward to being with you and the family again.

Hi Mom today marks four years that you have been gone. Nothing has changed between D and myself. I have tried but it's useless so I have decided to stop hitting my head against the wall. I know that you are at peace and happy along with the rest of our heavenly family. I miss you and love you. God bless.
