Have just read this today both Les and I send our deepest condolences to Rickey and family. Woody was larger than life in so many ways... Les often talks of the times they shared; the laughter and adventures and the expertise Woody taught Les in the construction world. God speed Woody!!!

So sad for all of you, just heard , my heart goes out to everyone, Jeannette, loss of a child, Rose loss of her life partner, Robin and Penny, hurts to loose Dad, no matter what age we are. Marleen and Marion, loss of a brother. Woody to me was a older Brother figure, I looked up to while growing up. He always made me feel safe and a part of the family. His smile, laughter ,and easy going ways with the three of us kid, made it always fun to spend time with Rose and Woody. I did have that one time, he scared the day lights out of me. It was when he was trying to learn to waterski. Two life jackets on, unable to get up on the skies, tired and Greg trying to get him back to the boat. Dad jumps in the lake, worried they both was going under and left 11 year old me alone in that boat. All my support people in the water. That was the moment I developed a healthy respect of the water. Now in my minds eye I see the three of them, together, laughing like they did whenever they talked about that boating story. When I was 16, I was with Woody and Bobby the day after one of Dad and Jeannettes picnics . I was under the weather ( may have had something to do with sneaking beer ) Woody pulls the pickup over in Putnam , beside a bridge that had some water under it and the two of them threw me in. When we got home, me looking like a wet rat, Jeannette wanting to know what happened to me. He tells her in his dry matter of fact way " She wanted to go swimming so I stopped and let her." Nothing more was said and I didn't get in trouble. I know he's in a wonderful place with my other loved ones but I can't help but feel they left me scared and alone in this life boat. Will be missed. Kimmy
